In 2014, Benton County voters passed an initiative to fund law and justice efforts in our community with a 3/10 of 1% sales tax initiative. Since that time, Benton County and our local police departments have been able to increase staffing levels, improve officer retention, educe backlog in the justice system and fund gang prevention programs in our community. Additionally, therapeutic courts and trauma-informed programs have been supported by this initiative.
In the last 10 years, increased public safety funding have protected the quality of life in our community and ensured that Benton County remains a great place to live, work and play.
